Diving In Dahab - It's Different!
Our Dahab dive club, Circle Divers at Jaz Dahabeya allows our guests to enjoy the different feel of diving in Dahab, but with the same commitment to safety and customer satisfaction they have become accustomed to with Circle Divers.
Dahab is located on the Gulf of Aqaba, at the
northern tip of the Red Sea and on a clear day you can see both Jordan and Saudi
Arabia from the beach.
Unlike diving in Sharm, when diving
in Dahab most of the sites are accessible from the shore by truck or a
short camel ride. (Yes, we can arrange camel trips!)
There are a good variety of types of dive sites, including coral gardens, walls, canyons and muck dives. For more info on the varied dive sites of Dahab click here. You may some marine life rarely spotted in Sharm like the seahorses if you are lucky and keep those eyes peeled when diving in Dahab.
Boat trips can also be arranged from our Dahab
dive centre, including day trips to Gabr El Bint or Ras Mohammed.
We also organize overnight trips to Ras Abu Galum, where after getting up close
with the Blue Hole, a short sail ride takes you to an overnight camp with a Bedouin
meal especially cooked for your party. (The night dives here can be amazing
too!)
What makes diving in Dahab so different is
Dahab itself. Originally a small fishing village that became a hub for divers
in the 80s and 90s, Dahab retains that strong community feel. If you want to
experience Egypt at its best, Dahab literally translates as Gold in Arabic.
Whether you want to stay at an Egyptian-style Bedouin
camp, enjoy the local cuisine and seafood of the Sinai or just experience the
chilled atmosphere of the beach cafes, Dahab has so much to offer.
If you want to learn to dive in Dahab
you can pretty much go at your own pace. With no jetty times to abide by,
diving in Dahab can seem much more relaxed.
Diving in Sharm we can arrange a day trip to
Dahab if your party just wants to go for the day or we can communicate with our
Dahab diving center if you feel like a couple of days break with some
diving thrown in for good measure.
If you are a regular diver in the Red Sea you
shouldn’t miss out on the chance to experience Dahab with Circle Divers.
