10 New Years Resolutions For Divers
It's that time of year when people make all sorts of promises or resolutions for the next year, and it's no different when diving in the Red Sea. Here are 10 New Year's Resolutions to inspire scuba divers to take their diving in Sharm or Dahab to the next level in 2025.
1. Level Up Your Diving Certification
Whether it's Open Water Scuba Diver to Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver, Rescue Diver to Divemaster or even Divemaster to Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI), make 2025 the year you take the leap. Speak with booking at Circle Divers to find out what courses are available on your next trip.
2. Buy Your Own Dive Gear
If you plan to advance your diving skills, investing in your own equipment is an investment in your diving career. Rather than renting all the time, choose a BCD, fins, Regs, and Dive Computer you feel most comfortable using. If you need any advice our instructors are always eager to help.
3. Take A PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Course.
One of the best ways of improving your diving skills is to advance your buoyancy proficiency. A short one day (2 dives) course, the peak performance buoyancy has helped many divers become more efficient and confident divers.
4. Upgrade to NITROX diving.
Nitrox can significantly extend the no-decompression times of your diving and offer longer bottom times where logistics and air supply allow. And better still, Circle Divers offers free Nitrox refills to all Nitrox certified divers. Inquire about the PADI Enriched Air Nitrox course on your next trip to the Red Sea.
5. Become A Rescue Diver
If you wish to proceed any further with your diving career and take PADI Professional courses, the PADI Rescue Diver course is essential. A 3-day course becoming a Rescue Diver will change the way you dive, become more confident, and develop your dive leadership skills.
6. Take Your Divemaster Course.
Who doesn't like the sound of 4 - 6 weeks diving in Sharm or helping instructors in Dahab? If you have the time to spare, make 2025 the year you become a divemaster and escape that dull European weather for a few weeks at the same time. The first step on the ladder to becoming a PADI Pro Instructor, many people take the Divemaster course just to develop their diving skills and because it's fun.
7. Take Your IDC
If you are already a PADI divemaster or intend to complete your Divemaster training this year, why not take the big leap into the world of PADI diving and become an instructor? (Circle Divers even offers a 3-month apprenticeship of Divemaster and IDC!)
8. Join In a Clean Up Initiative
We only get one planet, one ocean so it's everybody's job to help protect the world's oceans. As a scuba diver, you can be an ambassador for underwater marine life and help educate others on the importance of saving the oceans. Teaching eco-safe practices such as eco-friendly sunscreens, less plastic pollution, and clean as you go any debris can be a valuable contribution. Here at Circle we regularly participate in Ocean clean-up days of diving and all volunteers are welcome to help. Keep your eyes peeled for the next event.
9. Expand Your Dive Variety
If you have been diving in Sharm el Sheikh regularly, why not try mixing it up a little and experience diving in Dahab? Mainly shore-based diving in Dahab rather than from the boats of Sharm, there are so many little things you have more chance of seeing in Dahab - think Seahorses, Frogfish, and nudibranchs. Dahab also has some great dive sites not just the world-famous Blue Hole, and we even offer PADI TEC diving and TEC courses in Dahab now.
10. DIVE MORE
With so many flights from Europe all year round and competitive prices, including offers such as our Winter offer, there's never been a better time for diving in Sharm or diving in Dahab.
