People and Humanity - PADI 3rd Pillar of Change

Circle Divers are very honored to have been
presented with the PADI Award for Outstanding Contribution to People and
Humanity at this year's Torchbearer Awards ceremony at the Dusseldorf Boot
Show. But what is the Award for People and Humanity?
People and Humanity is PADI’s third pillar
of change after Ocean Conservation (Pillar 1) and Sustainability (Pillar 2). The Pillars of Change reflect PADI’s core brand
values and our commitments to the betterment of people and the planet.
People and Humanity recognizes
the need for inclusion and diversity in the aquamarine world. After all,
underwater we all speak the same language. As the world’s largest
network of underwater explorers, PADI celebrates and honors the inclusive
nature and diversity of diving.
PADI Women’s Dive Day is something in which
Circle Divers has played an active role in for the past decade. (Did you know
our CD in Sharm makes up part of the 15% of Course Directors which is female…..and
one of her fellow female students is now well on the way to CD status!)
With multilingual dive instructors and dive
operations staff, at Circle Divers, we
are an international training facility with the inclusion of all students.
An important part of Humanity is the projects
tackling marine debris, vulnerable species protection, climate change, coral
conservation, and/or marine protected areas. Just this year we have already
supervised two clean-up projects in both Dahab and Sharm El Sheikh with more planned
for the upcoming season too.
It’s always nice to receive recognition for
the hard work, and we would like to thank all our staff and guests for helping
us to carry on with the vision.
