Dahab

You will find the Circle Divers Dahab Dive Centre on the beach at Jaz Dahabeya Hotel in the Lagoona Area of Dahab. Less than 10 minutes by taxi, the main drag, the Masbat, of Dahab is bustling with restaurants, cafes and shops to explore after a day's diving.

Ralph's German Bakery - found at the end of the main strip near the Lighthouse area of Assalia, Ralph's Bakery has been a popular spot for many years with locals and divers alike. Serving some of the best coffee in Dahab alongside a selection of breakfasts, including full English, Continental, or German-style breakfast, get there early as it gets very popular. Freshly baked bread, sandwiches, croissants, quiches, and cakes are available all day too with various salads perfect for a light lunch. No trip to Dahab is complete without a visit to Ralphs and you may even bump into one of our instructors there.

Seaweed Sushi Restaurant - Just over the road from Ralph's you will find Seaweed Sushi and Noodle bar. One of the original Sushi joints in Dahab they are so popular they have now opened a branch in Sharm el Sheikh on Salem Rd Boulevard. Reasonable prices and the freshest of ingredients make for an enjoyable experience - make sure you try their hot deep-fried Sushi rolls - they're to die for!

Namaste Indian Restaurant - Sticking in the same area, Namaste offers a wide range of Indian dishes including curries and fresh grilled tandoori meats and breads. Further down the street going towards the beach you will find another good Indian restaurant that specialises in Indian Street food Nirvana. Both restaurants cater especially well for vegetarians.

Yum Yum - When you are looking for traditional Egyptian cuisine, especially affordable snacks, Yum Yum is popular with both tourists and the locals due to their very attractive prices. If you want falafel, hawashi, mashi, or kofta or any other local delacies this the place to go.

Zanooba Slow Cooking Restaurant - a favourite restaurant of many of our guests and staff alike. TripAdvisor describes Zanooba not only as the best restaurant in Dahab but one of the best restaurants in Egypt. Due to the dishes being slow cooked in clay pots in a brick oven for many hours, booking is essential (before 12pm the same day is cut off time). perfect for that end of dive trip farewell gathering.

Seafront Cafes - Along the main promenade you will find many seafront restaurants and cafes offering freshly caught seafood to order along with other popular dishes including pizza, pasta, and steaks. Our preferred pick of the restaurants would be Friends Cafe (best banana milkshake in town, according to Jilly), Ali Baba, Al Capones and Yalla Bar (good for a party atmosphere in the evenings too.) If you want a meal by the seafront, many with access to the sea, you cant go far wrong at any of the cafes.

Shark Restaurant - No don't worry they don't actually serve shark but Shark is a slightly more upmarket seafood restaurant than many of the others along the main walkway.

Pattaya - A relatively new addition to the Dahab restaurant scene. Receiving rave reviews and reasonably priced you will find this nice romantic place on the main walkway opposite Jackie's Mexican cafe - also worth a visit if you enjoy spicy food.

Shopping In Dahab

Along the main promenade and on the surrounding back streets you will find a selection of shops selling everything from indie designer clothes, Egyptian handicrafts, souvenirs and more...On of our favorites and always worth a look is "Why Not" for handmade accessories with an Egyptian vibe.

At the Assalia end of Dahab, nr Ralph's German bakery, you will find a choice of pro dive gear shops if you need any new kit or repairs to the kit you already have. The choice of pro dive shops in Sharm is rather limited so be sure to check out the Dahab ones when you visit.
